6. Barbra Streisand, this talented lady was born in 1942 in New York, she has tons of awards to her name, and a lot of firsts. The Way We were, You Don't Bring Me Flowers, One Hand One Heart, Women in Love are some wonderful songs she has done, but there are plenty more.

8. Chrissie Hynde, although this spot may belong to someone else, and there are many, many choices, like Cyndi Lauper, Fergie, Melissa Etheridge and Pat Benatar. I had a hard time trying to make up my mind on this one. Chrissie of the pretenders was born in 1951 in Ohio, I always have appreciated her rockin' style. Brass in Pocket and I'll Stand by You are two good examples. Chrissie Hynde - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
