Rockin it out!!

This is my review and guide to some of the best rock bands of all time and their music.
These bands are listed based on influence, longevity, innovation, cultural impact and commercial success.
Whether you are a lifelong fan or just discovering these classics, they should all be on your list. Try building a playlist of these hard hitting classics, give them a listen and turn it up!
1. The Beatles
They revolutionized modern music. From early pop-rock to psychedelic experimentation, they changed songwriting, recording techniques and album culture forever. Easy to learn and play for hours of enjoyment. Some of my favorites are Let it Be, Yesterday and Here comes the sun.
2. Led Zeppelin
This band defined hard rock and laid the foundation for heavy metal with blues driven power and mystique. Formed in 1968 in London as The Yardbirds and reorganized recruiting Robert Plant, drummer John Bonham and John Paul Jones as bassist/keyboardist.
3. The Rolling Stones
The embodiment of raw rock ‘n’ roll attitude. Blues based rebellious and enduring,
4. Pink Floyd
Masters of concept albums and sonic experimentation. This band was formed in 1962 also in London and sold over 200 million albums worldwide. They didn’t call it the British Invasion for nothin.
5. Queen
Genre blending theatrical rock with unmatched vocal power from Freddie Mercury. The London music scene must have been unbelievable as these guys formed here as well. So many great hits nonstop like Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Fat Bottomed Girls and Under Pressure to name only a couple.
6. Nirvana
The total grunge band, raw emotion and stripped down sound redefines alternative rock and influenced an entire generation. This is one of my favorites, Lake of Fire is so raw and grungy it can’t be beat, it has some interesting history.
7. AC/DC
High voltage riffs and electrifying performances with consistent hard hitting rock anthems. Back in Black album was iconic, some songs from this are Hells Bells, Back in Black, You Shook me All Night Long and Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution. All classic rock songs.
8. The Who
Rock opera pioneers with rebellious energy and ambitious albums. This band formed in London in 1964 and is responsible for such classics like My Generation, Tommy and Won’t Get Fooled Again.
9. Metallica
Soaring heavy metal, aggressive and complex, one of the best selling bands of all time. An American heavy metal band formed in LA in 1981 they are known for technical precision and personal lyrics.
10. U2
Powerful and socially conscientious themes created a wonderful legacy. Sunday, Bloody Sunday, Where the Streets Have No Name and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For are certainly legendary and unforgettable.
These are some of the best bands of all time based on sales, longevity and influence. I am sure there are quite a few more deserving to be on this list. I’ve spent many hours enjoying each of these awesome bands. I welcome feedback, contact me if you want to be part of the conservation.
